What is Ortho-K?
Ortho-K is a non-surgical alternative to Lasik which corrects vision while you sleep. Ortho-K can treat myopia (nearsightedness) and astigmatism, and some cases of farsightedness.

We often refer to the Ortho-K lenses as “retainer lenses.” Just like a nightly dental retainer keeps your teeth straight after braces lined them up right, Ortho-k retainer lenses are also used nightly to keep the cornea in just the right shape to help you see!
How Does Ortho-K Work?
Retainer lenses are made of super-breathable materials that are safe for overnight wear. Inserted at bedtime, the lenses gently shape the front of the eye (the cornea) unto just the right curvature to focus light clearly. The retainer lenses are removed in the morning, leaving the wearer with clear vision all day. Since the results are non-permanent, the lenses are worn every night to keep the cornea in just the right shape.
Who Can Do Ortho-K?
Unlike Lasik, Ortho-K is approved for children, youth, and adults … no age limit!
Ortho-K is great for children and adults who are active and who would like to be free of glasses and daytime contact lenses. Some adults who are wary of Lasik prefer Ortho-K because it’s effects are reversible.
