Advanced Vision & Eye Care Treatments

At Progressive Eye Care in South Joran, we provide advanced diagnostic, medical, and vision correction solutions — always guided by what’s appropriate for you.

When Routine Care Isn’t Enough, Advanced Care Can Help

Some vision challenges require more than a routine eye exam. Conditions such as progressive myopia, high prescriptions, irregular corneas, visual strain, or reduced clarity may benefit from advanced evaluation and treatment options.

When advanced care is appropriate, our team takes the time to thoroughly evaluate your vision and clearly explain your options — helping you make informed decisions based on your eyes, your lifestyle, and your goals.

A Thoughtful, Step-by-Step Approach to Advanced Vision Care

Clear evaluation, honest guidance, and care you can feel confident about.

We Start With You

We begin by listening — learning about your vision, eye health, lifestyle, and what matters most to you.

Clear Diagnosis

We identify the underlying cause — not just the symptoms — using advanced diagnostic technology when appropriate.

Advanced Assessment

If advanced treatment is needed, we explain why, what alternatives exist, and what outcomes to expect.

Guided Next Steps

Whether that’s Lasik, Ortho-K, specialty lenses, myopia control, or surgery, we guide you forward with clarity and care.

Vision Correction & Advanced Care

When advanced vision correction is appropriate, we guide you to the option that best fits your eyes, lifestyle, and long-term goals.

We happily serve patients from South Jordan, Herriman, Draper, Sandy, Riverton, and surrounding areas.

LASIK

For those seeking freedom from glasses and contacts, we can correct nearsightedness, farsightedness, and astigmatism with LASIK eye surgery. We are happy to review your candidacy for LASIK during your eye exam.

LASIK

For those seeking freedom from glasses and contacts, we can correct nearsightedness, farsightedness, and astigmatism with LASIK eye surgery. We are happy to review your candidacy for LASIK during your eye exam.

Ortho-K

Ortho-K, or corneal refractive therapy (CRT), is a non-surgical vision correction treatment that uses lenses to gently change the shape of your cornea while you sleep.

It offers patients with mild to moderate nearsightedness or astigmatism freedom from glasses and contact lenses.

Ortho-K is great for children, youth, and adults!

Corneal Crosslinking (CXL)

Corneal Crosslinking (CXL) is the only treatment known to stop keratoconus from getting worse.

In corneal crosslinking, doctors use riboflavin eye drops and ultraviolet (UV) light from a special device to make the tissues in your cornea stronger.

CXL is called “cross-linking” because it adds bonds betwen the collagen fibers in your cornea to better link them together, making the cornea stronger and more stable.

Myopia Control

Myopia Control or Myopia Management is a new area of research and practice designed to help slow the progression of myopia (nearsightedness) in children and adolescents.

Why is Myopia such a big deal?

Both the incidence and severity of myopia is are increasing rapidly, increasing risk of future eye health issues.

Techniques such Ortho-K and MiSight 1-Day and Stellest lenses help slow the rate of myopia progression in children and youth.

Cataract Surgery

Modern cataract surgery is about more than just removing a cloudy, aging lens.  Once your cataract is removed, an intraocular lens implant (IOL) is used to replace your lens and restore your vision.

Before surgery, we discuss all of your lens implant options, including multifocal, astigmatism, traditional mono-focal, and light-adjusted IOLs.

Though cataract surgery is not the same as Lasik, it has become a “refractive” procedure cabable of correcting your vision and reducing or eliminating the need for glasses.

EVO ICL & Clear Lens Extraction

EVO ICL is an implantable lens placed behind the iris and in front of the crystalline lens, ideal for correcting vision in people with very high prescriptions not recommended for Lasik.

Clear Lens Extraction is the same as cataract surgery, except without a cataract.  Clear lens extraction is another option for people with high prescriptions, or those who want a multifocal lens implant to restore vision both far and near.

We work closely with affiliate surgeones to provide all vision correction options to our patients.
