At Progressive Eye Care in South Jordan, Utah we are excite to add yet another tool to our toolbox of dry eye therapies.
For several years we’ve been utilizing amniotic membranes placed directly on the eye to give the cornea a rich supply of the healing components that naturally reside in amniotic tissue. These treatments are often very successful in treating severe dry eye, reducing scarring, stabilizing damaged corneas. Unfortunately, the amniotic membrane therapy can be expensive and for some patients difficult to tolerate.
Regner-Eyes eye drops offer an exciting alternative, packing an eye drop with most of the same biologic components from amniotic membranes, but delivered in an easy-to-use eye drop. These drops are avaialble in our office and can be used in conjunction with or in place of standard amniotic membrane therapy.
